Over 200 years ago, Raffaele Esposito, Naples' most outstanding pizzaiolli (pizza chef, just in case you didn't know) presented Queen Margherita with several pizzas to taste. Her favourite, which Signore Esposito then named in her honour, represented the colours of the italian flag - mozzarella cheese, basil and tomatoes - and was baked on hot stones. Simple but delicious.
So we decided to make Delicia the same way. We bake our original thin bases in Italian stone ovens and we keep our toppings simple. No artificial flavours or colours - just natural flavours all the way, just like the original. Perfect for sharing with all the family. Enjoy!
